Changes and fixes include:
– Fixed Vita Remote Play controller mappings.
– Added light bar support.
– Fixed bug that prevented Divine Wrath and Treasure Hunter trophies from unlocking.
– Physics stability improvements.
– Fixed some spelling errors.
– Zeus’ music no longer gets stuck when reloading.
– Added a confirmation box when returning to the main menu.
– Fixed bug with climbing walls.
– Elevators now reactivate after killing Ares.
– Fixed bug that caused certain gods to return to life when reloading a level.
– Aspis Shield added to Agora and Acropolis shops
– Fixed rare crash in Apollo’s stables.
– Fixed rare crash in Satyr temple.
– Fixed issue picking up Wild Trophy Key.
– Fixed crash in animation system.
– Adjusted controller deadzones.
– Grappling hooks no longer collide with doors or boats.

Now that the PS4 patch is finished we’ll be making more updates soon! We are experimenting with adding more coop elements, and still focused on a few small bugs/issues

February 3rd, 2015, for both Steam and Playstation 4. Additionally, Apotheon will be free for the month of February to Playstation Plus members!

The few short delays we’ve had getting Apotheon ready for PS4 has given us a good opportunity for further optimization and playtesting, making Apotheon a better game for everyone. We’re very excited to set it loose it upon the world on February 3rd!

We will be showing the PS4 version of Apotheon being developed by Sickhead Games (who previously did the Towerfall PS4 version). Sickhead Games is also helping us with the game’s performance – which will benefit the Steam version.

The Steam version will release at the same time as the PS4 version – with a estimated release date in late August.

Since this is a very large game being primarily developed by two people (based on play testing finishing the main campaign, not including all side areas, is 5+ hours) we’ve decided to not include online multiplayer in the initial release. The reason for this is we want to entirely focus on the single player campaign for now – and not try to push players at launch to fill the servers. The multiplayer portion of the game is something we worked hard on and care a lot about – so we want to make sure there is a large enough amount of active players and that it is a polished experience. So multiplayer will most likely either be a free update – or a standalone package.
There will also be local 1 on 1 multiplayer in both the PS4 and Steam version on release.

Right now the entire single player game is in place from beginning to end, and we are entirely focused on just polishing the game and getting in the final voice acting and animations.

Here are two screens of Apotheon, some of the new areas we recently finished. One is of the forest areas – where the player can hunt wildlife, search for items, and talk to the forest inhabitants. The other is the first screen of one of the main town hub spots – filled with merchants to buy/sell from and palaces and houses filled with loot.

There is now a Alientrap facebook page also, so hopefully we actually post dev updates on there rather than just entirely focus on development.

We have two new team members also! Marios Aristopoulos will be writing the Apotheon soundtrack along with some sound effects – and Abe Hutton is helping with art and animations. Our focus right now is on polishing the game section we have now (about 20% of final game’s size) and experimenting with new gameplay mechanics. We will most likely release the first teaser videos and start a marketing effort in October, then start showing it off at any conventions we can find then.

Capsized is part of Steam’s summer sale right for 66% off. It’s still in development for XBLA by Indiepub, with a release date unknown (it’s ready, but the release is in limbo right now as a publisher slot is being found). Indiepub also plans to release a Ipad version of Capsized soon however. We also hope to release Capsized soon for other PC platforms (Mac/Linux) – basically we want to get Capsized everywhere to as many people as possible. Hopefully we can announce a release date for one of the new platforms soon.

We’ve been working on Apotheon since Capsized was released – it’s still early in development but we are making great progress and are beginning to playtest the game with friends and other developers.

Apotheon is a 2D platform action-rpg set on the rich stage of ancient Greek mythology. Hera, the queen of Olympus, has overthrown her husband Zeus, and taken his throne as ruler of the Gods. Bitter and scornful towards the race of mortals, she launches a murderous campaign to scour them from the earth. As humanity’s last champion, you must pass through the land of the dead, infiltrate Mount Olympus, and end the wrath of the Gods. With sword, spear, and shield in hand, you will sneak, conspire, loot, and battle your way through majestic palaces and chthonic depths as you climb towards godhood. Only by stripping the old gods of their powers, and taking control of the elements as your own, can humanity hope to survive the coming oblivion.

Apotheon will have both a sprawling, open-world singleplayer campaign where you climb your way to the top of Mount Olympus, gaining divine power and deadly enemies along the way,  and online multiplayer battles with tactical bronze-age combat (spears and arrows!).

Final platforms and release date are still unknown, but the game will be a PC release first.
